Historian

I am not really a historian, but I have had a life-long interest in history. When I started my Web site, I hoped to have a "Person of the Year" site to which people could send their ideas about who the most important people were. And not only of the year, but of the decade, century, and millennium.

I set the site up a few months ago, and did indeed get a few thoughtful pieces. But mostly I got religious propaganda, girls nominating their boyfriends, and rock stars. Very few of the submissions showed any thought at all.

So I decided to drop it.

However, I do have two good lists: "The Most Influential People in History" and "The 100 People Who Made the Millennium." I'll leave them on the site.

Thanks to those who sent in thoughtful pieces; they were much appreciated.
