Elowah Falls
Elowah Falls was a surprise to me; I had never even heard of it. Heading east from Portland on I-84, go past Multnomah Falls, past Exit 37, to an unnumbered exit labeled either Dodson, Warrendale, or both; after you exit you will see a sign to Yeon State Park. There you will find markers to Elowah Falls, a walk of .4 miles. If you are on the scenic highway, you have to get back on the freeway; the scenic highway doesn't go there.
Further up the trail you come to Upper McCord Creek Falls, another beauty.
Now back to Elowah Falls. These views are in mid-summer. This was a sensational place to be on a warm day: the wind and spray from the falls really cooled me off!
