Jack Mountain
Jack Mountain can be seen from along the North Cascades Highway. Information about this mountain is not easily available. It does not appear to be a volcano; if this is correct, then it is one of the highest non-volcanic peaks in the Cascades.
The north Cascades are almost inaccessible; one highway cuts through them, but most of the area is either in the North Cascades National Park or in wilderness areas. Of course you can hike in. Some of these north Cascade peaks are visible from the upper part of Lake Chelan, which you get to by boat, or so I've heard. That is what I hope to do soon.
You may buy the Cascade Peaks CD, which has on it all of the Cascade Peaks photos on this site, plus nearly two hundred more -- 550 altogether -- in a larger size, suitable for viewing full screen or printing your own enlargements. Sample photo.
