Mount Bachelor
Development of Mount Bachelor as a winter sports center has changed the whole nature of Central Oregon, from a practically deserted desert and forest area to a boomtown-like semi-megalopolis in just a few years.

Mount Bachelor, Central Oregon's favorite ski area, is another Cascade peak which is hikeable clear to the summit, weather permitting. As you can see, one can get to the top by ski lift also (even during the summer).
